Stomata

Whenever I look at this piece, I see it breathing, moving, changing. It reminds me of chloroplast, and it’s magnificent ability to give our existence a lush green color.
What is Stomata?
Stomata is pores found in the epidermis of leaves and stems that controls the rate of gas exchange. It’s given a function to open and close (like lungs breathing), thus providing oxygen for the plants to regulate water movement.
This piece Stomata, is a perfect replication of Stomata and how it looks under a microscope. It reminds me of how vital plants are to this earth and that life wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the magnificent color, green.
Scrub Jay Farms. Reno, NV
When I go to Scrub Jay Farms, I can see the growth of life, the plants & flowers breathing, moving, and changing. With the constant motivation from Colin and his drive to fuel Reno with plant installations, I’ve grown to appreciate the cultivation of these exotic plants and art paired together.
