This is Demi

When my collectors asked me if I can do an abstract piece with their companion Demi… I accepted the challenge. I was nervous and honestly didn’t know what I was going to do or how I was going to do it. As I continued to ponder what did I get myself into!? my soul provided the answer!!

I did what I do best with the base of the alcohol inks & then took the 2x2 piece to a master engraver. We used an image of the dog & carved it into my art and it turned out better then I could’ve imagined.

Having to hand paint the engraved image made me even more nervous!! I didn’t want to ruin it!
I let love lead the way, and once I stepped back from the finished product I couldn’t help but LOL cause how the heck did I just do that!?
It seriously looks EXACTLY like the dog!!!

I got some help building the frame and learned some new tips & tricks to make this piece as perfect as it is. As always, resin makes everything better!!! Once I poured the resin the depth and layers of the engraved & hand painted Demi POPPED!

Delivering this piece was super special, as it was a surprise gift for his wife & both their reactions to this amazing creation is priceless. In reality though, this wouldn’t have been possible without them and their vision thru my art.
